I used to stick fruit stickers on the wall of my kitchen, but decided it was getting out of hand, so now I have a sketchbook page, too!

I have a sketchbook full of fruit stickers too, alongside stickers from charity fund-raisers, shoes, clothes, CDs, general freebies, and off of any packaging.

I had the idea of keeping them after seeing a carpark exit machine covered in fruit stickers in Oxford, UK.

me too! i have a pear sticker that miles put in my shoe that i love so much and i get to see it each time i go to put my foot in there. art is a by-product of life and no one that i know more than you supports this notion so heartily. sometimes i think, "i need to go out and get [a supply] in order to execute my project", i think of you and how you always say to use what you've got and your art is your life. it stops me dead and my project is ALWAYS better for reconsidering. thank goodness i have your voice in my head when i need to hear it most! xoxoxoxo

Wow. The second I opened this window I could hae sworn tat was a picture of m fruit sticker collection! I'ver been collecting them for as long as i can remember... ever since I was little I loved their colorful appearance. Bananas are my favorite... especially the stickers that say "place sticker on forehead. smile." Everyone thinks I'm a lunatic for taking that literally.

Sadly, UK bananas rarely have stickers on them. I miss that about the US.

What a great idea. It's like a journal of the fruit you've consumed in the past week/month/year. To be able to go back and look at what types of fruit and brands and from what countries. And I love the different colors of the stickers as well as the fun phrases on the Chiquita labels. Love it.

i have posted for posterity about the same number and kind of fruit stickers in my notebook too. are we twins seperated at birth or just kindred spirits? i like fruit too. and, of course, gaston bachelard... -n
