juice container rings.
Posted by kerismith at October 19, 2006 01:16 PMdo you think that when the cheap oil runs out that we won't have disposable plastic containers any more? Litter appals me, but I get nearly as distressed by the excess packaging that causes it. Especially drinks containers. Why does nearly every water bottle have to have a teat?

Posted by: Alex on October 28, 2006 01:59 AMGreat filter/art on the shot, Keri. AND THANK YOU for the rec on the Road Home. What a beautiful movie it was! Paul and I loved it deeply. The rich textures were outta control. And it was a loving tribute to true love and teachers in an unusual way, don't you think?
Posted by: shelley Noble on October 22, 2006 02:51 AMMmm, such lovely colors! I like that these are the little plastic strips from juice and milk containers: not that they are plastic trash thrown into the street but that you gathered them up and found a way to showcase their beauty. By the way, they make great cat toys! Our cat loves to bat them around, much preferring them to the expensive feline playthings from the pet supply store.
Posted by: n.b. on October 21, 2006 10:25 PMCool idea, reminds me of this thing we're learning in art class about repetition in different colours. Darnit, was the place THAT polluted??
Posted by: skeeter on October 21, 2006 06:52 PMLovely litter!
Am curious K. When you find these objects, how do you display them at home. Do you keep them forever or eventually throw them? How do you store them?
Ditto ditto what everyone else said. Genius! Visionary artist! Your creativity gives me JOY!!!

Posted by: Kelly on October 21, 2006 12:54 AMit is sad that people are not mindful of littering but i do appreciate how you have created art out of your findings. lovely. xo
Posted by: Boho Girl on October 20, 2006 02:41 AMyes, sadly they were all tossed on the ground. you can get a bit of a feel for Troy in witnessing this. i have to try to find some beauty in the debris.
Posted by: keri Smith on October 19, 2006 07:45 PMPretty! Did you have to raid a bunch of recycling bins to find this variety? Hopefully they weren't all tossed on the ground.
Posted by: Rachael on October 19, 2006 06:19 PMi absolutely love this unexpected beauty!
