Bet you have found some amazing seed pods over there in California
Posted by: Gayla on November 12, 2005 11:57 PMcute... glad to see there's no alien pods. HAHA. ;)
(coincidence, I just made lasagna last week for the first time in years, but as far as I know, no aliens were involved)

Posted by: Velvet Brick on November 10, 2005 07:41 PMOh, how delightful! When I go for a walk I always come home with a little bit of nature that gets left in a pile on the chest in my loungeroom. It's fun checking out how the pile has grown every now and then. There's no greater inspiration than the natural world really is there?
Posted by: Shell on November 10, 2005 06:57 PMIt's good to see both a buckeye (I think that's buckeye) and one of those strange, pointy red space pods from my new home, California. Don't lose your eye for magic, whatever happens with the world.

when i did a collage of seedpods, feathers and rocks... i was amazed at the sublime divinity of each.and.every.piece.

blessings to you and your seedpod loving heart.
Love the seedpod sketch - are you keeping the collection in a specimen case or otherwise displaying them?
I've tried putting them in baskets to display my autumn collections, but my cats think the pods are nature toys I've brought in for their amusement; so I've given up collecting for now...
Posted by: terri on November 10, 2005 04:06 PM...and pesto, don't forget a few blobs of pesto in the lasagna!
Posted by: dianna on November 10, 2005 02:47 PMThe lasagne sounds so delicious, how do you make it? Is the ricotta and mozzarella in the layers, or just on top? Now I'm both hungry and curious :)
Posted by: Anja on November 10, 2005 01:48 PMGotta love those seed pods.
Posted by: nina on November 10, 2005 01:24 PMIt cheers me to no end that your sketch of seed pods included a list of the fixings to prepare lasagne. don't forget some freshly shaved pecorino romano and basil slivers for the top!
