Hi Keri-
I wanted to make a point about the word "Grace". My granddaughter "Savannah Grace" was given the middle name Grace because "Amazing Grace" was my late Grandmothers favorite hymn. My daughter honors her Great Grandmother in all of her childrens names so far.. "Saige Rose" Rose because it is my Grandmothers middle name also. What an awesome word.. Grace from God is what we all should all strive for!

Posted by: Sunny on April 3, 2005 08:09 PMThat's funny, naming a daughter Grace was my secret plan. I was infected with the concept by a phrase of Simone Weil's: "proud people have no grace".
Posted by: DL on April 3, 2005 08:25 AMI love the word Grace, as well. It has special meaning to my husband and me. Definitely check out Anne Lamott's new book- lots of talk about Grace in there!! :)

Posted by: Jules on April 2, 2005 11:02 PMWow Kerri.
I have been fixated on the word Grace for some time and I've been viewing your journal without commenting for a while (sorry) and this just hits home. Like another poster, if I had a daughter her name would be Grace. Your interpretation is lovely and gives me the urge to finally put my thoughts to work on this.
Thanks.
ps. Do you know the Spirit of the West song called Grace?

Posted by: nine_ah on April 2, 2005 09:19 PMOf any word in the English language, grace is the one that most resonates with me. If I ever have a daughter that will be her name. This is such a lovely visual depiction. Love your site.
Posted by: Tina on April 2, 2005 07:14 PMReally love your journal pics. I came here via Claire's Being Me blog and such a lovely place you have. I will most certainly be back for a visit.
