I don't usually mind the leaners as much as I mind the ribcrackers!
Posted by: kat on September 27, 2004 02:15 PMFor me it depends on the leaner.
Posted by: christine on September 27, 2004 10:57 AMah....then there is the very popular "side squishers"...
Posted by: fern on September 24, 2004 07:45 AMI hate patters and strokers too.
Posted by: eliane on September 24, 2004 07:35 AMi don't like to be the leanie either, if it's the way a person would normally give hugs. it usually only hapens when my boyfirend wants to play and tease, which are the same reasons why i am guilty of being a leaner too. it's just fun and play. but there have been occasions when somebody else will lean in for a hug, and it's hard to keep them up! it feels as though all of a sudden you are their caretaker, that they can't stand on their own. it's very strange.

A leaner is a method of hugging whereby one party puts his or her entire weight onto the other person. Thusly causing the other person to support them. It requires great strength on the part of the "leanie".
This is one of many hugging methods invented by one Jefferson Pitcher, and while hugging in any and every form is greatly encouraged in this house, the leaner continues to be my least favourite of all the forms.
