mystery

Once every people in the world believed that trees were divine and could take a human or grotesque shape and dance among the shadows; and that deer and raven and foxes, and wolves and bears, and clouds and pools, almost all things under the sun, and the sun and moon, were not less divine and changeable...

They dreamed of so great a mystery in little things that they believed the waving of a hand, or of a sacred bough, enough to trouble far-off hearts, or hood the moon with darkness.

-W.B. Yeats

ahh...I know dancing trees. They are old souls, smiling women with no need to worry about partners to dance with. They have stood and swayed with babies resting on their breasts. Many of these children have grown and return with new babies that grow to do the same dance around the smiling souls...becoming new partners along with wind ,sky and clouds, birds and moon and sun and rain. Their shirts reach the ground and stay them.

Here is one of my favorite quotes on mystery:

"Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer."

—Rainer Maria Rilke

Mystery is so beautiful...

Imagine what the trees who are poets write about us....

I photographed my teabasket:

I suspect it might charm you.

I saw the comment about the lead in the paint. Must investigate.

sometimes I get tired of living in a world
that no longer seems to want to believe in
anything.

believing is as important as breathing.
even believing in the impossible.
i cannot imagine life without my lofty
goals and ambitions,
but so often i see people dried out
from forgetting how to dream.

why can't the trees dance?

It's official.

I love you.

I've never even met you, but know that I count you among my favorite people ever.
