To be fully human, people ought to have as authentic a relationship as possible with others. They should know that in their deepest being they are intrinsically free to reconstruct and transform themselves, and they need to grant others the same powerful freedom.

Oh- how I need to be reminded, to be assured, that this is what is going on in my life right now… and loving someone is truly about being sane as s/he grows into her/himself, and the same gift of freedom returned.
As much as I love my partner, I have asked for separation, to have the room to restructure myself, because I was DYING the way I had myself contained. What a gift that he loves me enough to let that happen.

This quote is so true and ironic that you post it now because i’m going through some hard times with friends right now. This qoute really helped me undestand things more and i put it in my quote book! :)

its funny how sometimes when you read things, certain words/phrases pop out and fits very snugly into your own context and brings clarity to the situation you’re in. thanks

This is a great reminder. It might be drawn up and put on my wall.
