Dear like-minded soul,
I have just returned from a fabulous vacation on the east coast of Canada.  You can read a bit more about it here...   http://www.kerismith.com/WishJarTales/travels.htm

********************************
New Stuff...
You may not have seen Bea's New Page... (to which I will be adding an activity page full of Bea's favorite recipes, crafty things, and scrapbook.  There is also a mailing list to receive new Bea comics via email.)

...I recently did an interview with MP3.com which was a lot of fun!  You can hear it here...

Working...  on final artwork for Living Out Loud, a couple of editorial pieces, the veggie garden.

Reading... "Ahab's Wife" by Sena Jeter Naslund (recommended highly by my bookstore friend), "A Cabinet Maker's Notebook" by James Krenov (a spiritual approach to working with wood.), I picked up an old copy of "The Haunted Bookshop" in an old, dusty used bookstore in Lunenberg N.S.

Grateful for...   my garden blooming (irises, lilac, forget me nots, and lilys)... returning to my cozy house after a long drive across the country... my new agent to bounce ideas off of and brainstorm new projects...a week of seafood every night....small town living....my birthday approaching (yay, I'm having a party).

Enjoying...  my web friend Claire as always (she makes pregnancy sound good)  ...thanks to Erica for sharing this site, (I love these little notebooks) ... Another cool origami page.

Researching... earth shoes (are they really good for your feet?), they are supposed to mimic they way our body walks on sand, I tried on a pair and they felt heavenly but I wonder....  companion gardening.

I wish for you a summer spent lazily floating on calm waters while staring into the clouds, sand in your toes, and trashy novels by your side.
creatively,
Keri
